How to Brew Tiger Milk Tea in Milk

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar syrup
  • 1/4 cup tapioca pearls prepared according to directions
  • 1 black tea bag or loose leaf equivalent
  • 2.5 cups oat milk or any milk you prefer
  • ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Bring milk to near boiling, remove from heat and add tea bag or loose leaf tea. Brew for recommended time on package (usually 2-6 minutes depending on the type of tea and how strong you like it).
  • Prepare brown sugar syrup by combining an equal amount of brown sugar and water and cooking on low heat until syrup is thick like molasses.
  • Prepare tapioca pearls as directed on package. Spoon into bottom of 2 glasses.
  • Pour prepared brown sugar syrup over boba pearls and stir to combine.
  • Drag pearls up sides of glass to give tiger stripe look.
  • Add 2-3 ice cubes to each glass.
  • Pour brewed milk tea into glasses.
  • Enjoy immediately. The tiger stripe effect doesn't last long!
